Walt Disney’s Merriest Songs was released in 1968 as a promotional item from Gulf gas stations. This album was the second promotional album feature to come from the partnership between Disney and its sponsor, Gulf - the first being an album called Walt Disney’s Happiest Songs in 1967. Both albums are a mix of soundtrack versions of songs and studio versions.
We love the little details on the lp labels, with Cinderella’s castle graphics and “Disneyland” featured prominently. This is a classic piece of Disneyana.
